Care for care providers: customized massages for health personnel
Care providers are essential to our society. They are the ones who are always ready to help others and seldom burden us with their own pain or other complaints. Care providers are givers. Having a family working in care, I have witnessed this first hand and experienced how valuable it is to care for others. It has also given me insight into the drawbacks: that care providers often neglect their own interests.
Care for care providers looks after these knights in shining armor because they especially deserve moments of rest and relaxation in their service to us.
Besides being a token of appreciation, customized massages result in:
E motion offers massages that are 100% attuned to the needs of the receiver and include traditional Thai massages, relaxation and sport massages. All masseurs are professionally trained and know their way around the anatomy of the human body. Additionally they have a solid foundation in pathology, whereby complaint-related treatment is also possible. In short: custom tailoring.
‘Touch gives relaxation’. In addition to releasing physical tension, touching with care and awareness often elicits personal anecdotes. It is for this reason that masseurs are trained to be good listeners and non-judgmental, allowing mental stress to be released. Everything that is discussed during a massage is treated in the strictest confidence. Safety and a feeling of security are our number 1 priority at E motion.

Relaxed and healthy people make a difference. Fortunately, many organizations already see the well-being of their employees as a priority. So does LUMC Leiden, where I have been working for more than eight years now. First as a student during my research internship and later as a regular masseur. I provide weekly massages to the staff of various departments of the LUMC, such as the OR (operating theatres), SEH (emergency room), GHL (birth hospital Leiden), NICU (neonatology intensive care unit) and KOHG (ENT, oral surgery, ophthalmology, skin diseases and gynecology). The benefits of regular massage are endless. In addition, it provides a piece of prevention and higher productivity. In short: a wonderful investment in the hard-working healthcare providers.
